I really like his writings.

I began to read his works around year 2000. Started with The Sandman comic/graphic novel series, then Black Orchid and Books of Magic. From these comics I also know Dave McKean, his longtime illustator partner with remarkable works.

After those comics, I read Stardust, a beautiful story about a fallen Star, a young man and faerie world. Then I read American Gods, Mirror Mask, Coraline and the latest, The Graveyard Book.

I find his works are amazing.

The stories are strong with good plot, folklores, imagination, dark and sometime eerie. His collaborative visual works are also good. He’s one of my favorite writers.
I follow him on his twitter.

On the 1st day of 2011, I found this writing in his blog and I like it very much:

“May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art — write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.”

I find these words are inspiring for the new 2011. Feel energized just by reading it.
Thank you, Neil Gaiman.
